InstitutePro started with a frustration familiar to anyone who has tried to manage a tuition centre: the tools available were either too simple (a WhatsApp group and a notebook) or too complex (school ERP software built for 500-student institutions with a dedicated IT team).

Indian private education institutes — the 50-student tuition centre in Pune, the JEE coaching class in Kota, the Bharatanatyam studio in Chennai, the cricket academy in Mumbai — needed something in between. Software that fit their actual workflows, used Indian payment methods, integrated with WhatsApp (because that's how Indian parents communicate), and could be set up in an evening rather than in a week of training.

We started with tuition centres in Maharashtra and expanded as we heard the same needs from coaching institutes, music academies, dance studios, sports academies, language schools, and skill training centres. The operational core is the same: students, batches, attendance, fees, communication, teacher payouts. The billing model varies. The institute type varies. The software needed to adapt.
